Foodservice Australia brings hospitality industry together on one level
Running from May 27-29, the show will host more than 8000 restaurateurs, caterers, chefs, café operators, distributors, hoteliers, bakers and patissiers, all located on one level within the convention centre at ICC Sydney.
“It will be much more accessible for industry visitors and we expect a jump in attendance,” he said.
“By keeping the show focused there will be time for those one-on-one interactions that are the heart and soul of our industry.”
The 2018 show will see the launch of a new competition, Restaurant of the Year – The Battle of the Pacific, held by the Australian Culinary Federation with teams competing live on the show floor.
The new competition joins the National Restaurant Conference, featuring leaders of the hospitality industry; Savour Patissier of the Year, organised by Kirsten Tibballs from Savour Chocolate and Patisserie School; and Chef of the Year, where professional chefs will compete live against the clock and each other for cash prizes. The 2018 line-up also includes The Café School, Pizza Championships, and the Regional Producers Pavilion.
“Coming to a show not only introduces you to the latest trends and products to improve efficiency, it also invigorates you on a personal level, and opens your eyes to how exciting and diverse our industry really is,” said Collett.
Visitor registrations for Foodservice Australia 2018 are now open online.
