Merivale acquires Marrickville pub, The Vic on the Park
The pub is Merivale’s second Inner West property, joining Queens Hotel on Enmore Road.
“The Vic has long been at the heart of Marrickville, a vibrant community hub where people of all ages and walks of life can come together,” said Merivale CEO Justin Hemmes.
“We have loved being part of the Inner West since opening Queens last year and can’t wait to take on what is undoubtedly an important and cherished venue in the area.”
Merivale will take over the pub on November 13 and while there are no plans for a major refurbishment as yet, there will be a renewed focus on its food offering.
The news follows Merivale’s recent acquisition of The Collaroy in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, which will reopen after a refurbishment this summer. The group will also soon open the doors to Mr Liquor’s Dirty Italian Disco, a temporary pop-up venue in Mascot, in collaboration with Sydney chefs Mike Eggert and Jemma Whiteman.
