Chapel Street restaurant Saigon Sally to make way for new Thai venue BKK
Operating as usual until September 3, the Chapel Street restaurant, which opened in 2013, is hunting for a new location.
“We’d like to keep her spirit alive in the meanwhile so you’ll be seeing some signature dishes pop up on the menu at Hanoi Hannah.”
BKK’s menu is focused on Thai dishes crafted by new head chef Sean Judd (ex-Nahm, Longrain, Chin Chin). Highlights will include gai yang, turmeric and lemongrass chicken cooked over smoke and som tam tod, a crispy papaya nest salad that’s sweet, sour and spicy.
“BKK will be completely different to Saigon Sally and we’re really excited to create a fresh offering for our diners. Sean’s talent lies with Thai cuisine so we wanted to allow him to follow his passion,” said Blacher.
