Third time’s a charm for Taco Bell Australia
Doors officially opened at 9am on November 4 and around 50 Taco Bell fans camped overnight to secure their spot at the opening day party.
Paying homage to Taco Bell’s first store opening in California in 1962, the first 62 customers through the door on Saturday received Taco Bell merchandise, while the first 1000 customers went in the draw to win free Taco Bell for a year.
Taco Bell first tried the enter the Australian market back in the 80s, but was discouraged after losing out in a naming rights battle with Sydney restaurant Taco Bell’s Casa. They tried again in 1997 in Sydney but only lasted eight years.
