The pub is run by brothers James and Tommy Banks, who took over the restaurant from their parents in 2006 when the pair were just 17 and 18 years old.

Now the restaurant has beaten some of the world’s most famous restaurants, like Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck (rated number 12 in the annual awards), taking the title as the UK’s and the world’s best fine dining restaurant.

Head chef Tommy Banks

TripAdvisor customers have described the restaurant as “a tantalizing trip for the taste buds” and the menu “brilliantly designed” and “a work of art”.

With James heading up the front of house and Tommy running the kitchen, the restaurant highlights fresh produce straight from the garden and provides “warm, informal” hospitality.

Dishes on the menu include Squid Dressed in Horseradish Juice, Lobster with Onion and Gooseberry, and Crapaudine Beetroot cooked slowly in Beef Fat.
